Isaiah Tells Brooke That Bethany Is Psychotic & Is Glad the Attention Got Taken Off Them

[School courtyard – Brooke and Isaiah talking privately]

Brooke:

“So… are you excited for Market Day or what?”

Isaiah smirks.

“I heard somebody selling wings. I might have to support.”

Brooke laughs softly, then lowers her voice.

“Okay, but can we talk about last night? Because that was insane.”

Isaiah exhales.

“I’m not even gonna lie… Bethany was acting psychotic. I’ve never seen her like that before.”

Brooke raises her eyebrows.

“That’s normal for her?”

Isaiah shakes his head.

“That wasn’t even 100% her. When we got home, it got worse. Yelling, pacing, acting like everybody was against her. It was embarrassing.”

Brooke sighs.

Isaiah shrugs.

Brooke looks at him seriously.

“She really just showed up like that?”

“Yeah,” Isaiah says. “Nobody invited her. She just decided she needed to be there. And once she started arguing, everything spiraled.”

Brooke shakes her head.

“She almost got into it with my mom.”

“I know,” Isaiah replies. “And if it had turned into something physical, she definitely would’ve tried to call the police. That’s how extreme she was acting.”

Brooke goes quiet.

“So… your mom doesn’t hate me, right?”

Isaiah softens.

“No. She was more upset at me for sneaking around. But honestly? Most of her anger was directed at Bethany. That was the main issue.”

Brooke nods slowly.

“Everything just felt chaotic.”

“It was,” Isaiah says. “But at least it reminded them that we’re not the biggest problem in the room.”

They both sit in silence for a second.

Then Brooke smiles slightly.

“Okay… back to something normal. Tell me about these wings.”

Isaiah grins.

“Now that’s a conversation I’m ready for.
