He knew flying Mariah out would cost money—and he didn't have enough to make it happen easily.

ISAIAH MAKES A DESPERATE PHONE CALL

Isaiah eventually called his uncle.

Isaiah: “What's up, Uncle? I need a favor.”
Uncle: “What kind of favor?”
Isaiah: “I need to borrow a few hundred dollars. I need to get Mariah to Philly for a couple of days.”

His uncle immediately became suspicious.

Uncle: “Hold on. What's going on with Brooke?”

Isaiah paused.

Isaiah: “Me and Brooke are dealing with a little situation right now. We should be good.”
Uncle: “Then why are you bringing another girl into the picture?”

Isaiah tried to explain that he and Mariah had history.

Isaiah: “I've known Mariah for a long time. We grew up together. It's not just some random thing.”

His uncle wasn't convinced.

Uncle: “I'm reading your body language, man. This sounds like you're caught between two situations.”

Isaiah admitted that he was worried about losing Mariah while things with Brooke remained uncertain.

Uncle: “And how do you know you're not wasting my money?”

His uncle still wasn't comfortable with the situation.

Isaiah insisted he knew what he was doing.

Isaiah: “I got you. I appreciate you.”
BROOKE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT ISAIAH IS PLANNING

Isaiah hung up the phone and immediately started thinking about his next move.
