Early Sunday morning, Larry makes a call that might just shake the whole house.
Sharra answers, halfway getting ready for church… or at least thinking about it.
They joke about “bedside Baptist,” but the playful energy doesn’t last long. Larry didn’t call just to talk — he wants her to come over and discuss Destiny’s Sweet 16.
That’s when the temperature changes.
Sharra immediately shuts it down.
Coming to Larry’s house?
With Bethany there?
“That’s not a good idea.”
Larry tries to calm it down. He explains he just wants to talk about plans for their niece’s big Miami birthday bash. Nothing messy. Nothing dramatic.
But Sharra isn’t buying it.
She makes it clear:
If she comes over and Bethany starts something… it’s going to be a problem.
Larry suggests putting Bethany in the room so they can talk privately.
Sharra fires back with a line that says it all:
“As long as you keep her in that cage, we good.”
Now it’s not about a birthday anymore.
It’s about history.
It’s about tension.
It’s about two women who clearly do not rock with each other.
Larry keeps trying to play peacemaker — “It’s for our niece.”
But Sharra ends the call with a warning:
“If I gotta go upside her head, it’s going to be a problem.”
And just before hanging up…
“You heard what I said.”
This isn’t just Sweet 16 planning.
This is pressure building.
