Watch Full Story π
π₯£ Chapter 1 β A Peaceful Afternoon
Only a few days had passed since Bethany returned home from Miami after her weight-loss surgery.
Although she was finally back in her own house, every movement still caused pain.
Her doctor had instructed her to avoid lifting anything heavy and to focus on resting.
Knowing Bethany was still recovering, Charlotte stopped by with homemade chicken soup, fresh fruit, and medication reminders.
The two cousins sat together in the living room, laughing for the first time in weeks.
Charlotte smiled.
"Do you remember that family trip to Colorado?"
Bethany laughed.
"How could I forget?"
"We thought we were brave enough to ski the Black Diamond trail."
Charlotte covered her face, laughing.
"We were terrified halfway down the mountain."
"And we thought our parents would never find out."
Bethany smiled through happy tears.
"I haven't laughed like this in a long time."
Charlotte gently reached over and squeezed her hand.
"You deserve to smile again."
πͺ Chapter 2 β Larry Walks Into The Living Room
Just as Bethany picked up her bowl of soup...
Larry walked out of the bedroom.
He looked around the room.
Then stopped when he saw Charlotte still sitting beside Bethany.
"I thought you'd be gone by now."
Charlotte slowly looked up.
"I stayed because Bethany hadn't finished eating."
Larry folded his arms.
"You've been here long enough."
"This is my house."
Charlotte calmly replied.
"And she's my cousin."
"I'm making sure she's okay."
Bethany quietly sighed.
"Please..."
"Can we just enjoy one peaceful afternoon?"
Neither of them listened.
π₯ Chapter 3 β Charlotte Finally Speaks Her Mind
Charlotte slowly placed Bethany's soup on the table before standing up.
"You know something, Larry?"
"You keep talking about this being your house..."
"But you're forgetting something."
Larry frowned.
"What?"
Charlotte took one step closer.
"When Bethany had surgery..."
"You weren't there."
"When she needed someone at the airport..."
"You weren't there."
"When she couldn't carry her bags..."
"You weren't there."
"I was."
"I picked her up."
"I carried her luggage."
"I've been bringing her food."
"I've been reminding her to take her medicine."
Charlotte looked directly into Larry's eyes.
"So before you throw me out..."
"Ask yourself one question."
"Who's really been taking care of your wife?"
The room became completely silent.
π‘ Chapter 4 β Larry Makes A Shocking Decision
Larry's face turned red with anger.
"I've heard enough."
"You need to leave."
Charlotte crossed her arms.
"I'm not leaving until I know Bethany is okay."
Larry pointed toward the front door.
"I don't care."
"Get out of my house."
Bethany slowly struggled to stand.
"Larry..."
"Please don't do this."
"Charlotte only came because she loves me."
Larry refused to change his mind.
"I don't want her in this house anymore."
Charlotte looked at Bethany with tears in her eyes.
She never expected her own cousin's recovery to end like this.

π Chapter 5 β Bethany Begs Larry To Stop
Bethany slowly stood up from the couch, still holding her side where the surgery was healing.
Every step caused discomfort.
She looked back and forth between Larry and Charlotte.
Tears filled her eyes.
"Larry..."
"Please don't throw Charlotte out."
"She only came because she was worried about me."
Larry folded his arms.
"I don't care why she came."
"She doesn't respect me."
Bethany shook her head.
"She respects me."
"And right now..."
"She's been the one helping me recover."
Charlotte gently touched Bethany's shoulder.
"It's okay."
"I don't want you stressing yourself after surgery."
Bethany looked heartbroken.
"I just wanted one peaceful day..."
"One day without fighting."
πͺ Chapter 6 β Charlotte Walks Away In Tears
Charlotte quietly picked up her purse.
Before leaving...
She hugged Bethany carefully so she wouldn't hurt her healing body.
"I love you, cousin."
"If you need me..."
"Day or night..."
"You call me."
"I'll be here."
Bethany hugged her tightly.
"I'm sorry..."
"I'm so sorry this happened."
Charlotte smiled through tears.
"You've got nothing to apologize for."
She then turned toward Larry one last time.
"I hope you realize one day..."
"Taking care of your wife means more than giving orders."
"It means showing up."
Without another word...
Charlotte walked out the front door.
The house suddenly became painfully quiet.
Larry slowly closed the front door.
For the first time all afternoon...
There was no arguing.
No voices.
Only silence.
Bethany quietly picked up the bowl of soup Charlotte had made.
She looked down at it.
Then slowly placed it back on the table.
Without saying a single word...
She walked toward the bedroom.
Larry noticed she was struggling.
Each step looked painful.
"Larry..."
Bethany whispered softly.
"I don't need another argument..."
"I need a husband."
Those words stopped Larry in his tracks.
Bethany disappeared into the bedroom and quietly closed the door.
Larry remained standing alone in the living room.
His eyes slowly moved toward the untouched bowl of homemade soup.
Then to the empty chair where Charlotte had been sitting.
For the first time...
He realized Charlotte hadn't come to fight.
She had come to take care of Bethany.
Just as Larry reached for the soup...
A loud crash echoed from inside the bedroom.
"Larry..."
Bethany cried out in pain.
His face turned pale.
He sprinted toward the bedroom...
Not knowing what had happened.
