Destiny’s Refusal Sparks a Dangerous Turning Point

THE KNOCK AT THE DOOR

Destiny’s bruise wasn’t the real problem. Her silence was the warning. And when Larry opens the door, the danger finally arrives.

INT. LIVING ROOM – NIGHT

The door opens.

Cold air rushes in.

Larry stands there, tense and ready.

A man stands outside—tall, broad, hood up, hands in his pockets.

He doesn’t move.

Destiny’s breath catches.

Brooke grabs Destiny’s arm and pulls her back.

AT THE DOOR

LARRY

(low, steady)

Can I help you?

The man lifts his head.

He’s young—early 20s.

A smirk on his face.

Eyes sharp.

Destiny knows him.

She steps back in fear.

THE MAN

(slow)

I’m looking for Destiny.

Larry’s face tightens.

LARRY

Why?

The man shrugs, but there’s something threatening underneath.

THE MAN

She forgot something.

Destiny’s voice shakes.

DESTINY

Don’t… don’t let him in.

The man smirks bigger.

THE MAN

Come on, Des. Stop being dramatic. We just need to talk.

Destiny shakes her head hard.

INT. LIVING ROOM

Brooke steps in front of Destiny.

Larry blocks the doorway with his body.

LARRY

You’re not talking to her.

Leave.

The man laughs.

THE MAN

You her guard dog now?

Larry doesn’t move.

LARRY

Last warning.

Destiny trembles behind Brooke.

THE MAN

(to Destiny)

You’re really gonna hide behind them? After everything I did for you?

Destiny flinches.

Larry’s fists tighten.

LARRY

(low, dangerous)

Step away from my door.

The man stares at him.

THE MAN

Or what?

The tension spikes—like something about to snap.

INT. LIVING ROOM – DESTINY’S POV

Destiny’s breathing speeds up.

Brooke squeezes her hand.

BROOKE

Please, Des… tell us. What did he do?

Tears fill Destiny’s eyes.

DESTINY

He won’t leave unless… unless someone makes him.

AT THE DOOR

Larry hears her.

His whole body tenses.

He moves fully in front of her.

LARRY

You touch her again, and you’ll regret it.

The man’s smirk fades.

THE MAN

So that’s how it is.

He steps closer.

Larry stands his ground.

Brooke gasps.

DESTINY

Please, Larry… don’t fight him…

THE MAN

I’m not leaving without her.

Larry steps forward—just one step.

But it’s enough.

The man gets the message.

His eyes narrow.

He steps back.

Once.

Then again.

THE MAN

Fine.

Have it your way.

He turns to leave, disappearing into the dark.

But he calls back:

THE MAN

This isn’t over.

Larry slams the door.

The whole room shakes.

INT. LIVING ROOM – AFTER

Destiny collapses onto the couch, crying and shaking.

Brooke holds her.

Larry stands with his back to the door, hands trembling with anger.

Destiny whispers:

DESTINY

You shouldn’t have done that.

Now he’s going to be worse.

Larry turns to her—angry, but only for her protection.

LARRY

No one’s hurting you again.

Not while I’m alive.

Destiny’s eyes fill again—fear mixed with relief.

Brooke softly asks:

BROOKE

Destiny… who is he?

Destiny breaks completely.

DESTINY

(sobbing)

He was my boyfriend.

Brooke covers her mouth.

Larry closes his eyes—hurt and furious.

Destiny points to her bruise.

DESTINY

I tried to leave… and that’s when he—

Larry opens his eyes, burning with anger.

LARRY

He’s never touching you again.

Destiny looks up at him.

DESTINY

What are you going to do?

Larry doesn’t answer.

He just looks at the door.

Fade out.
