The Southern University campus buzzed with excitement as hundreds of freshmen explored their new surroundings.
Brooke had just finished orientation and was trying to find her mother near the student center.
Everything around her felt new.

As she walked across campus, a tall football player stepped in front of her with a friendly smile.
"Hey... I haven't seen you around before."
"I'm Marcus."
Brooke smiled politely.
