“I don’t know… it feels risky. What if she finds out we’re behind this?”
Destiny:

They lean closer, whispering, almost giggling at the thrill of their secret plot.

“Okay… so we tell Sharra that Bethany is hiding things and she needs to testify. That’ll finally put pressure on her.”

Unbeknownst to them, Bethany is standing just outside, pretending to scroll on her phone. She hears their whispers clearly, leaning in closer to the door.
Brooke (whispering):
“We should make it sound serious… like it’s urgent. That way Sharra won’t hesitate.”
Destiny (whispering):
“Yes! And we’ll say it was our idea, not anyone else’s. She’ll think she’s doing it for us.”
Bethany’s eyes widen as she processes every word. Her lips curl into a sly smile.
Bethany (thinking):
“They really think I’m clueless… this is perfect. Now I know exactly what they’re plotting.”
Scene 3: The Tension Builds
Back inside, Brooke and Destiny are making final preparations. They speak in hushed but determined tones.
Brooke:
“Okay, so we call Sharra tonight. We tell her what to say, exactly. Then—”
Destiny:
“Then Bethany has no choice. She’ll have to face the consequences. It’s foolproof.”
A faint creak from the hallway freezes both girls in place.
Brooke:
“Did you hear that?”
Destiny:
“Probably just the house… chill.”
Bethany, leaning against the wall, suppresses a laugh. She’s heard every word and now holds the upper hand.

“Oh… they’re playing right into my hands. Let’s see how far they go.”

Brooke grabs her phone and opens Sharra’s contact. She hesitates, glancing nervously at Destiny.

“I… I can’t believe we’re actually doing this. What if she asks questions we can’t answer?”
Destiny:
“We’ve planned this. Just stick to the story. Sharra won’t know the truth. We just have to sound serious.”
Bethany silently steps a little closer to the door, holding her breath to catch every word. She can already imagine how this will play out, a quiet thrill running through her.

“This is it. I don’t even need to do anything… they’re exposing themselves.”
Brooke dials. The phone rings once, twice, and then Sharra picks up.

“Hello?”
Brooke (nervously):

“Wait… testify? Are you serious?”
Destiny (jumping in, whispering to Brooke):
“Yes! Tell her exactly what we discussed. Don’t leave anything out.”
Bethany smirks behind the door, hearing every detail. Her mind races, already plotting her counter-move.

Bethany steps back, pretending to scroll on her phone again. Her calm facade hides the storm inside.
Bethany (thinking):
“They’re so loud… and so confident. Little do they know, I have everything I need to turn this around. One call, one overheard plan… and suddenly, it’s all in my favor.”
