Bethany’s mom warns Larry about her

Bethany had no idea that when her mom stepped out of that rickshaw, everything in her life was about to change.

EXT. BETHANY’S HOUSE — EVENING

A calm street under an orange sunset.

The air feels tense, like something emotional is about to happen.

A rickshaw pulls up.

Bethany’s MOM gets out, nervous and trying to steady herself.

She walks to the door and gently knocks.

MOM

Bethany, sweetie… please open the door.

The door opens.

Bethany stands there with tired, puffy eyes. She already looks upset.

BETHANY

(frustrated)

What now, Mom? Everyone keeps blaming me lately.

INT. BETHANY’S LIVING ROOM — CONTINUOUS

Bethany folds her arms tightly, protecting herself.

Her mom steps in slowly and sits on the sofa.

MOM

(gentle but firm)

Bethany… listen. You’re fighting with everyone.

Sometimes with your brother. Sometimes with Larry.

There’s always some argument.

You need to look at how you’re acting, beta.

Bethany’s eyes widen with anger and disbelief.

BETHANY

Oh, come on! Everyone blames me.

Larry’s perfect? Brooke’s perfect? Sharra’s perfect?

I’m the only problem, right?

Her mom shakes her head softly.

MOM

No, Bethany… I’m not saying you’re bad.

I’m saying your anger is pushing people away.

It’s hurting you.

Bethany’s voice jumps, loud and sharp.

BETHANY

Stop it! Stop lecturing me!

You ALWAYS come here just to tell me what I did wrong!

Her mom tries again, her voice shaking.

MOM

I’m only trying to help…

Bethany explodes.

BETHANY

Mom, get out.

Get OUT of my house!

Leave me alone!

Her mom stops where she is—shocked and heartbroken.

Tears fill her eyes.

MOM

(softly)

Bethany… you’re not okay.

Bethany turns away, refusing to face her.

Her mom takes a shaky breath and walks out of the house.

On the doorstep, she wipes her tears, suddenly realizing something scary:

Bethany is falling apart — emotionally, mentally, and socially.

And now Larry and the kids are caught in the middle of it.

FADE OUT.

EXT. STREET — EVENING

Bethany’s mom walks slowly down the street.

Each step feels heavier.

Her face shows deep worry and fear.

She heads straight to Larry’s house.

INT. LARRY’S LIVING ROOM — MOMENTS LATER

Larry opens the door, surprised to see her crying and shaking.

LARRY

Mom? What happened? Why are you crying?

She steps inside. Larry gives her a glass of water.

MOM

Larry… I need to talk to you.

It’s really important.

She takes a deep breath and gathers herself.

MOM

Larry… Bethany is not okay.

She’s breaking down emotionally.

She fights with everyone.

She even fought with me… and threw me out of the house.

Larry’s eyes widen in shock.

LARRY

She… she kicked you out?

MOM

Yes.

Larry, listen carefully.

Bethany’s behavior is getting dangerous.

She isn’t stable.

I’m scared for Brooke and Sharra.

Larry sits down, rubbing his forehead, overwhelmed.

LARRY

I knew she was stressed, but… is it really this serious?

She nods strongly.

MOM

Larry, she’s losing control.

You have to keep Brooke and Sharra away from her.

It’s not safe.

She could hurt herself… or someone else.

Larry lowers his head, stunned.

Suddenly, everything starts to make sense —

Bethany’s anger, her mood swings, her paranoia.

INT. LARRY’S LIVING ROOM — LATER

Larry sits on the couch, deep in thought.

Dark, heavy questions fill his mind:

“Should I talk to her?”

“Should I put Brooke first?”

“Should I keep my distance?”

“Should I get her professional help?”

Bethany’s mom gently touches his shoulder.

MOM

Larry… I know this is hard.

But please.

Protect your daughters.

Larry nods slowly, fear in his eyes.

LARRY

I understand…

I’ll think about it.

I need to decide what to do next.

He walks to the window and stares out at the empty street.

Night is settling in — cold and uneasy.

Inside, Larry feels even heavier.

If Bethany really isn’t stable…

he can’t let her near

 or Sharra.

But staying away

might break her completely.

He doesn’t know what the right choice is.

But he knows one thing for sure:

Whatever he decides next…

will change everything.
